Frank Wiedermann & Kristian Beyer show us just why they are being hailed as the best production & DJ team on the planet right now, with a sophisticated and well programmed DJ mix that teases and touches with dubby house sounds, intricate minimal techno and soulful instrumentals.

Their genre-breaking “Rej” track from 2005 was one of the biggest underground records that year, and was subsequently licensed to Defected from Sonar Kollektiv, the German label that the guys began honing their sound for. Kristian and Franck first met up through Kristian’s record shop “Plattentasche” in Karlsruhe, Germany. Frank, already experienced with his former project Soul FC (release on FSO) and Kristian, being a scientific music nerd in a positive way, one day decided to tweak the knobs together. Kristian has always been turned on by the voices shouting out of motor city, the like of Moodyman, Underground Resistance and Carl Craig as well as the New York City Sound of Blaze and Metro Area, whereas Frank’s broad spectrum of influences ranges from Chateau Flight and John Tejada over to IG Culture and Jazzanova. Brilliant remixes for the likes of Roy Ayers, Rodamaal, Akabu and Ferrer & Sydenham have put Ame on the production map, and the duo have been tearing up nightclubs with their no-nonsense, intelligent house sounds all over the world of late.
