It must be hard for Tomas Andersson, knowing that everything he puts out will be compared to ‘Washing Up’. This follow up isn’t as immediate and won’t appeal to mainstream DJs, but that’s not a bad thing. ‘The Other Day’ is a dark slice of pumping bassy techno with daft rave stabs, the repetitive title track sounds like a robot trapped in a broom closet, its high pitched calls for help translating into a squelchy, tweaked communique.
