House music's answer to Smokey Robinson struck out big in the early 90's as Urban Soul with 'Alright', but many regard this gem from 1994 as his best ever recording. A superb vocal performance and unusually good lyrics for a dance track are backed by a strings and horns driven production that wasn't quite like anything else at the time. A huge record for some time and an enduring classic, strangely it wasn't licensed to a UK label until Cream picked it up at the end of the decade.
