Philly Soundworks is inspired by the energy and bounce of the early 'go-go' scene in Philly, Sideshow gives us his own interpretation of organic, spacey mid-tempo disco. Delicate keys and a one-take, live bass-line played by Fin himself are perfectly complimented by a heavy rolling drum pattern. Let loose on the controls Fin applies a heavy dose of dub to all fx and percussion twisting the vibe until everything is irie. Lee Jones' mix can only be described as brilliantly unique. A throbbing journey from start to finish. You cannot fail to fall for his heart-warming chord progression as he teases Fins original stabs into the mix. As the arrangement develops the chords open out and Lee increases the intensity, a real exercise in using restraint to create impact.
