Neil Quigley is an example to all budding DJs and producers in how to tenaciously chase the dream while not compromising the music you love. Neil has stuck to his guns and consistently championed what he describes as electronic house with soul without being diverted by trendy fads, and he is now beginning to reap the rewards for his obsessive musical integrity. Feedback From The City is the first-fruit of Neils venture into production on which he teams up with Digweeds long-time production partner Nick Muir. The Pacemaker Dub on the A-side is a mind-bogglingly complete track. A steady, somewhat funky groove lynch-pins the track throughout while a myriad of sounds are experimented with on top, and, while theres a lot going on, the track maintains a sense of space and room to breathe. The B-side the track gets the Estonian treatment from DJ Meri and Spin Science. Meri, whose productions as one half of house music pioneers Rulers of The Deep include Last Survivor on NRK and a number of revered releases on Josh Winks Ovum label, provides an epically atmospheric yet upbeat mix which features more of the original vocal from rock/folk singer Nadine Khouri.
