A few years ago Santos (being a very prolific producer) started his MASKIO off-spin in order to leave a window open on the acid-house scene and release timeless tech influenced music while he was deeply experimenting new shakadelic forms of breakbeats and modern discoid funk. In 2007 some of his MASKIO output sounds like the freshest and energetic club music around, more than minimal, fatter than techno and honestly “Monday” really could be one of the underground tunes of summer 2007.
