This offering from Philly newcomer Jay is as soulful as you’d expect from Soulshine, but thankfully without descending into limp noodling. ‘We Need Change’ is one for the specialist clubs only, for sure (think Soul Heaven, To The Manor Born), but on the right floors, its memorable male vocal, crisp percussion and gently tinkling ivories will go down a treat.
