Adam Freeland becomes the newest DJ on Global Undergrounds world reknowned mix series, treading beyond the norm to create almost a whole new sound. Nick Warren and Ali Dubfire have both done the business in past GU outings. And they did well. Both. However, pale in comparison to this.

Adam’s always trod beyond the norm, and this is no exception. In fact it’s fair to say that he’s gone and created a whole new sound: a relentless sonic wash of guitars and vocals that the likes of he and Evil Nine have been hinting at for a long time.

Mix One takes a slightly more conventional approach with its solid house, breaks and techno grooves – it’s a killer and at points it hints at the new sound. In Mix Two, Adam really pushes things forward. Loaded with his own edits of drone-tastic indie and cosmic rock bands such as 120 days, Silversun Pickups, Fujiya & Miyagi and B Movie. Adam lashes out wave after wave of guitars, pulsating bass and heavy live drums. There’s nothing out there quite like it. Arguably Adam’s and Global Underground’s finest ever mix.
