TCP recordings was launched in 2005 by Thomas Christopher and Steve Payne. The label was established to showcase their own style of techno to the rest of the world with remixes from established international artists. The releases are going from strength to strength with huge support from some of the leading players in the industry. Thomas began DJ’ing at the age of 13, drawn to techno, he began to build a collection from labels such as; DJAX, Bush, Axis and R&S. Steve has been producing and experimenting with many different dance music genres for seven years. Christopher and Payne first met at Music College in Bristol 2002. They began working together in 2004 and have now been producing together for over two years.

Whilst still at college, Steve had collaborated with many DJs and producers in the southwest and became recognised as a talented engineer. TC had left college in 2003 and set up Vagisness (Southwest’s premier techno night 2003-2006 RIP).

Steve was engrossed by the European sound being championed by DJ’s like Valentino Kanzyani, Marco Bailey, Umek, Beyer, Ben Sims, etc... TC&P decided to start producing their own brand of this funky hi energy dance music and early 2005 set up TCP as an outlet for their material.
