Strut Records was one of the UK's most celebrated alternative music imprints, and January 2008 saw it’s re-launch. From 1999-2003, the label became renowned for its uncompromising high quality packages documenting landmarks in the history of dance music, from Larry Levan's famed residency at New York's Paradise Garage to Grandmaster Flash's early Bronx block parties and original Nigerian Afrobeat classics.

The label re-launches with a regular schedule featuring fresh artist collections, new studio albums by dance music legends and the cream of the label's previous compilation brands, all A&R'd by original Strut founder, Quinton Scott. The first artist signing in conjunction with Adrenaline City Entertainment, and a highlight of the label's schedule for 2008 is one of hip hop's true pioneers, Grandmaster Flash, who is embarking on his first studio album in ten years.
