Spun Records was founded by Seth Hoffmann, Bradd Hosking & G.M.S. ( Growling Mad Scientists ) in 1999 and became the first label in the U.S.A. releasing Psychedelic Trance music. By the first two CD releases: " GMS Vs Systembusters ", and " Genetic Process ", SPUN had firmly established itself within the scene as a label of high quality and exclusive releases, specializing in the full on side of the sonic spectrum. Spun firmly planted the flag of the " Outdoor Party Sound ", the sound which has remained to become more and more popular as the new millennium unraveled.

It was decided by Seth & G.M.S. in July 2002 to open a European branch of the label in Ibiza (Spain) to increase the amount of releases and popularity of the label worldwide. Supervised by Wayan Blue, developing the visual, graphical & promotional department of spun. Having the European Office in the G.M.S. Studio has actively streamlined Spun production.

In 2004 Spun Records launched their sub-label "Nice Dreams Music". Nice Dreams Music is a diverse mix of ambient /chill /electro/club & house music. With 2 releases planned for beginning of 2005, it will be a new era of music for spun fans. Later that year they received the great news that the music of Deedrah and Zorba had been chosen for the 2004 Hollywood blockbuster movie & soundtrack with Denzel Washington "Man On Fire".

The Spun Records lineup now boasts many of the world's top psychedelic trance artists: Alternate Vision (Logic Bomb - side project), Deedrah, Earthling, G.M.S., Shanti Matkin (Juvenile), Soundaholix, Wizzy Noise, Wrecked Machines, Zorba and 1200 micrograms. Other new and rising artists from spun to watch out for are à Bushman, Cyrus the Virus, Frequency Surfer, Father & Son, and Soma.
