Label - Punch Funk

Label Bio - Punch Funk
PunchFunk Records is the product of the phenomenon that is the PunchFunk party which is based in Portsmouth, England and has also held its night’s in other venues around the south and London, most notably Pacha & Ministry of Sound.
When the label was started the philosophy was simple:
‘Release the same high quality of music that is played at our Parties’
It is mission accomplished so far with first release, Jon Gurd’s ‘Lemon Sherbert’ becoming an instant hit and featuring in many radio play lists worldwide and on several big name compilations including Sander Kleinenberg’s ‘This is Eveybody’
The second release, Rob Mooney’s ‘Feelin Electro EP’ faired even better with a monster remix from Valentino Kanzyani which has since catapulted him onto some very big projects. It became a number 1 on many download sites, has been in sets of all the major players in many genres and was James Zabiela’s ‘Utilities’ CD for Renaissance.
The last release was Fergie’s ‘Ken the Men’ and has been heralded as the first step in his change of direction into the electro-tech field. A smart, skipping techno number that has hit all the right buttons at PunchFunk parties everywhere!
PunchFunk will continue to release big room tracks throughout the rest of 2006 with some massive tracks set for release on it’s brand new digital only and 12” labels.
