Tony Thomas and Mastik Soul formed MOXI RECORDS in 2004. Both Mr Thomas & Mr Soul are connoisseurs of tribal music, playing for many years mainly the percussive side of house in their DJ sets worldwide. Ancient rhythms that capture the soul are the main emphasis behind the concept that is MOXI.

This, and extremely high quality production are the backbone of a much needed label that has filled a gap in the myriad of styles that make up the house music scene. So put quite simply, MOXI represents all things that are tribal house music. From quite minimal and percussion led tunes right through to soulful vocal tribal and more recently forays into electro tribal sounds too.

All the releases on MOXI are by Tony Thomas and Mastik Soul only, so this label is really a platform for their work alone.

In 2005 MOXI DIGITAL was formed, and is the digital download only sister label to MOXI RECORDS. You can most certainly expect consistently high quality tribal music to emerge from these great labels for the foreseeable future.
