Hartchef was founded in 2003 by two convinced house music lovers from Cologne. The labelowners Erk Richter and Holger Schneider, as well as the most creative and exceptional artist Audio Werner, and newcomer Frank West present their definition of house impressed by its development since 1985 via 1995 to 2006.

With the 5th release at last - Audio Werner's "Zwrtshak Drive" - Hartchef Discos were ready to get the attention they deserved. This record was and still is played by DJs like Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Dominik Eulberg, Loco Dice, Ellen Alien and Luciano - just to name a few. It was no suprise that this record entered the charts of Germany's Groove Mag at #1. It was one of the biggest records in 2005, played in clubs from the North Cape down to Ibiza and people are still bouncing to it.

And of course the story isn't over yet. With "Trust" Audio Werner released his next hit on Hartchef Discos in Feb 2006, already getting big support from famous DJs all around the globe.

Furthermore DJ Sneak picked Audio Werner's "If..." from Hartchef 04 for his upcoming mix on Ministry of Sound. A great honour for the guys -- as Sneak was a big influence for the Hartchef Crew back in the days.
