Goodlife was founded by Alex Reynaud (manager), Oxia and The Hacker in Grenoble (France) in 1998, the name coming from the techno-soul classic "Goodlife" by Inner City.

From its very first releases, GoodLife has become an incontestable reference point for the rest of the International techno scene, thanks to a fusion of electro-retro-acid-new-wave-funky sounds with present-day techno production values - making them less 80's in sound than Gigolo.

Even though the label was created during a time of techno cynicism and indifference as the "French Touch" wave was in full force, GoodLife has remained insistent and has opened the doors to a far wider audience than just "techno lovers". Times have changed and GoodLife is now sought and lauded by respected house DJs too.

GoodLife is at the front of the queue of the rejuvenated French techno scene, taking the relay from the "French Touch" phenomenon in the international scene.
