Gomma regularly releases music, irregularly a poster magazine (AMORE) and sometimes T-shirts.

The label was founded in Munich/ Germany in 1999 by MUNK aka Mathias Modica and Jonas Imbery with the basic intention of releasing and discovering new music and new artists with a strong, fresh, individual style – people and things that are NOT part of an obvious fashion. New ideas!

MUNK themselves have produced several 12"s and an album called APERITIVO (Nov 2004) which also features some of their friends (James Murphy/ DFA, Midnight Mike, Bobby Conn)

Gomma also discovered/ released the first albums of artists Mocky & Headman, now signed to Fine and Relish respectively. Gomma produced the much acclaimed "Bi – Connicals of the Rammellzee" – project of New York Underground art icon The Rammellzee and the album of art & music collective Kamerakino (the first band of Nick McCarthy of FRANZ FERDINAND)

Gomma preceded the current Punk Funk/ No Wave - movement with its much acclaimed compilations Anti NY and Teutonik Disaster in 2000/ 2001.

Most Gomma covers artworks and releated visuals are made by Smal & Paze (aka Mirko Borsche and Thomas Kartsolis).
