Avenue Recordings is the creation of Colombian DJ / Producer Mario Ochoa, who at 22 years old, is one of the most in demand artists in the Americas who is slowly building a very solid reputation in both Europe and Asia.

Mario started his career as a producer in the year 2000. In 2004, Willy Sanjuan’s Molacacho Records signed Mario’s 3 track tribal workout entitled the ‘Waves of Medellin EP’.

In the beginning of 2005 Mario won the Colombian leg of the global ‘Heineken Thirst’ beating out 90 competitors. Thereafter he toured all over Columbia. In 2005 Mario he took the next step and launched his own label called Adverso Records to release tracks in physical format. Expect wicked tracks from the likes of renown artists such as Peter Presta, Granite & Phunk, DJ Fist, DJ Rooster & Sammy Peralta, Kobbe & Austin Leeds, Willy Sanjuan and of course from Mario himself.

Avenue Recordings is a digital only label, which will release tracks from some renowned artists like, Chris Kaeser, Dj Fist, Junatik, Da Groovemakers and others.

Mario Ochoa’s discography is now formed by more than 40 releases on labels like Juicy Music, Tweek’d, Peaktime,Fine Tune, Tumbata, Molacacho Records, Electron, Catch 22 Recordings, Ammo, Defunk Music, Intra, Kitschy Records, Disc Doctor, Soleado Records, Tribal Spain, etc. Expect Mario to keep on hitting the streets in the future with upcoming projects.

In 2004 the first record on DISC DOCTOR (Dr Kucho’s label) hit the shelves. “Habla con la Luna” was a hit in countries like Spain and Mexico. Here comes the time when the real career for Mario starts. After this release MOLACACHO RECORDS (Owned by Spanish International DJ/Producer Willy Sanjuan) launches WAVES OF MEDELLIN E.P., a three track tribal EP produced by Mario Ochoa. Then POOLEMUSIC knocks the door and Antoine Clamaran also keeps his eye on the talent of Monsieur Ochoa and signs several records for his label.

In the beginning of 2005 Mario Ocha was the winner in Colombia ofhe “FOUND THIRST by HEINEKEN”, a club dj selection where more than 90 Colombian djs applied and only one could last. Mario was touring with Heineken for some weeks all around Colombia. Als in 2005 Mario is launching his own label called ADVERSO RECORDS.
