Live-in Music is a newly formed label with a passion for all forms of electronic dance music. The founders cut their teeth promoting and Djing across London. Sabre is the first of 6 releases in 2008.Starting life as fumbling, nervous 9 year old piano student Jim has come along way to his current incarnation as club crushing psyconaught Robotwon. A musical family , a group of friends with a frankly freakish range of tastes in music and a thorough schooling in the abnormalities of sonic art from UH’s learned professors has left R1 with a ruthlessly eclectic taste in sound.

After moving to London in 2004 Robotwon found his first residency with Ffaction, a party who’s emphasis had always fallen on atmosphere free of inhibition and loaded with friendly good time party gusto, R1 fitted right in. Gigs have followed on from there with R1 playing at: The Key, The Cross, The Bomb (Nottingham), The Medicine Bar (Spectrum), Amsterdam’s ‘Breaks bar’, Stealth (Firefly), Hidden (Live-in), to highlight but a few.

Robotwon is the Co-Founder of Live-in Music R1 has plenty on his plate. ‘Sabre’, which rides the boarder of techno and electro, is a twisting monster with a solid base line and killer bionic Machine vocal. Remix duties have been handed to Max Cooper ( Evolved) who delivers a slab of pure unadulterated minimalism at its best. Already with great support from the leading DJs and air play on Annie Nightingale’s Radio 1 show.
