Chocolate For Men

So I’m sitting here typing this in Jerez (hair-reth) Airport in the South of Spain, about to get on another plane. I was sure I’d escaped them up until now. I even missed my first flight an hour ago. I’m not sure if subconsciously i did it on purpose….hmmm
The last 3 days have been fun in the sun and I think i now want to move to Barbate (Bar-bah-tay). I explored beaches, swam, lay in the sun, ate at amazing restaurants, and slept a lot. All thanks to Antonio and the Baymont Brothers crew. (¡Lo agredezco, mucho!)
At this point your probably thinking, you spoilt bastard, shouldn’t you be chained to a mixing desk in a windowless studio and living off nothing but coffee? Well you’re probably correct, but, after over 50 hours of travel in the three days preceding, I think I’ve earn’t it.
The 24 hour flight from Sydney to London was a barrel of laughs as usual. Plus I loved the fantastic chats i had with airline staff when they played little jokes on me with my flight times. Oh, you guys ;)
Aside from that the gigs have been great, and the people i met even better. The first Russia show was crazy. Cool people. Lots of fun, and lots of energy. Strange chocolate also…. Massive thanks to Alex and Diana. I’ll be back for a show in Moscow on the 28th as well.
Spain was equally amazing. Great people, and an amazing environment to play in. Not to mention the down time after the show. Muchos gracias Antonio. Mi Amigo nuevo. Hasta pronto.
I’ll get some video and pics up soon, but that may depend on the rest of the week. Tomorrow is Sonar Festival in Barcelona!! No esta mal…
