Off the back of the massive Fiddlesticks release Fine Cut Bodies & Chris Carter return with a set of genre-wild remixes from AMB and Modul and Fine Cut Bodies himself.

The main man Fine Cut Bodies does his own ‘So Nice Version’ of the original. Upon hearing this groover, I instantly threw it on my iPod and went for a run, it’s a brilliantly well crafted remix that works on so many levels, whether it be at a sweaty club or on the footpath with the wind pushing your hair. A lovely, warm bassline complimented with the subtle tweaks and oriental elements of this track are really what makes this one stand out from the remixes it’s accompanied by. AMB and Modul’s Vulgardown Edit.

AMB kicks up dust with an adorable and relaxing remix of the original. I’m sure you know by now that I’m not a huge fan of Minimal, but AMB is an exception to this rule after this remix, it’s deep, with some subtle but wicked thick kicks and a funky sounding bassline. This one grabs the elements from the original and whips them up into a stellar minimal journey through what I like to think of is a slow car driving through softly lit city. I hadn’t heard of AMB until this one found it’s way onto my playlist, now I’ll be keeping a sharp eye on any upcoming releases and remixes.

Modul joins the get together with a wicked slice of glitch-hop. This one is littered with slimy bass and some Crystal Method like main synths. There’s a ton of elements in this remix. I’m not sure, after hearing this I found that it reminded me alot of some of Prefuse 73’s work, which makes me an instant lover of this one. The great thing about this remix is that whilst the other two remixes are more subtle in their sound, Modul’s gritty and dirty sounding retake actually works really well against the others.

Which means, this is a well and truly awesome remix package from FCB, Modul and AMB.
