After finding JDS on one of the best mix / remix albums Community Service II. I’ve been a fan.
Their remix of The Crystal Method’s ‘Keep Hope Alive’ featured massive beats and breakdowns and they’ve always delivered with every release they’ve made thus far.
Their latest ‘Everybody Singing’ and ‘Scorpio’ are a little different from their chunky breakbeat sound.
More so ‘Everybody Singing’ which does a fantastic job at taking me back to the days of early 90’s rave. Specifically The Prodigy and their track ‘Your Love’.
Featuring rainbow happy synths and big kicks this one delivers what I love from JDS.
The ‘House Version’ is a deep, progressive thumper that you might not expect JDS to bring to the table but they do and it works as the perfect DJ-friendly dancefloor destructor.
‘Scorpio’ continues the old skool vibe with a well built breaks number that touches on the old skool and keeps the chunky sound.
I don’t know what they were aiming for here but JDS have aimed it perfectly.
This one has wavy trance-like (Although I hate trance, but this works great) synths peppered around the rumbling bassline and constant kicks. This one is just asking for you to wave your hands in the air.
