I don’t need to recount experiences from my last Lot49 review for you guys to know that I like the label…alot.

I’ve been eagerly awaiting Dylan Rhymes latest after having chats with some of the guys in the label and rambles on the official website.

Unfortunately, I’ve been in some kind of time-loop which managed to prevent me from finding out that this was just released.I totally thought it was coming out later in the year!

Then I realised I didn’t read the description which said “Late April”. Here we are Late April and guess what Dylan Rhymes brings along Blende to stir up the sequel to Dylan Rhymes 2006 smasher ‘Superstar’ with ‘Stars’.

Immediately, you can tell the difference between Rhymes and Blende’s production styles.

They meld perfectly together. The original is an Electro / Techno session of gritty electro house.

Rhymes does a good job of mocking the high life with some sexy vocals asking “There’s dirty dancers, but where are you?” and the vocals work a treat over the smashing 4/4.

Fresh from their debut album ‘Big Monster’ Baobinga & ID pack a soild breaks vibe over the original that’s accompanied by something that would perfectly suit a big-room situation.

Veterans Koma & Bones appear with a screeching and touch breaks rework. Synthesized vocals over a fuzzy electro backing accompanied by a killer beat and some epic bass stabs.

Now here’s a name I haven’t seen in a while. Jelo takes the remix cake with an absolutely massive remix.

The beats are gargantuan in size totally rocking my desk and laptop as I try to keep everything balanced.

These wicked kicks are combined with some dirty sounding electro bassline.

As the track goes out Jelo distorts everything and goes all out to keep your head bangin’.

That’s what Lot49 continues to do, keep your head bangin’. As does Dylan Rhymes and Blende.
