Modern pop culture has spread throughout Eastern Europe like a wildfire on a hot California summer day. The days of Western Europe and the USA being the trendsetters and forerunners of the contemporary art scene have long been counted for. Instead talented newcomers from Russia, Ukraine and Poland keep popping out of nowhere, demonstrating their musical prowess.

The Polish craftsman Robert M aka Electro One is a prime example for this up and coming breed of visionary virtuosos. His sound, his aesthetic, his production is state of the art and more than progressive. It should then be to no surprise that illustrious DJs worldwide are taking notice of this new face. Roger Sanchez, Tocadisco, Tom Novy and Boris Dlugosch are all supporting and spinning his current track "Cafe De Paris", which was released on Joia Records, Nero Records brand new sublabel.

His debut "Porno House E.P.", a massive Electro-House dancefloor monster, is being unleashed by Lickin`Records (sublabel of Lektrik), a label dedicated to the more twisted and edgier side of minimalistic house-tunes. But Robert is also quite busy remixing other renowned producers from all around the globe, such as the German artist Oliver Koletzki. His new single "Yes I Can Fly" (Yesionova Records) is being manipulated and thoroughly recycled by the Polish turntable wizard. You are probably wondering: Who is this Electro One and where exactly does he come from?

We will get to that right now, don’t worry. His real name is Robert Maczynski and he was born on the 22nd of March 1982 in Krakow. Already at a very young age Robert discovered his passion for music and began sharpening his DJ-skills on the turntables soon after. At mere 19 he played at his first party and since then has never looked back.

Techno became his way of being and the blooming wunderkind committed every second of his precious time into perfecting his musical understanding. Marco Bailey became his mentor and Robert tried to learn as much as possible from his idol. Fortunately for the freshman Marco Bailey believed in his abilities and released his tracks on various labels. "Rhythm Convert & MB Elektronics" was an instant success and soon after promoted by established DJ`s such as DJ Preach, Carl Cox, Umek, Marco Remus, Eddie Halliwell and many more. This production has been licensed to several Mix-Cds of artists like: Eddie Halliwell ( True Sound Of Ibiza ),BK (Extreme Euphoria).

Nowadays Electro One does not need any foreign idols to cultivate his sound. This man has found his own rhythm and groove, and has surely mastered it in the meantime. Eastern Europe: Once a shadow of contemporary modern music. These days a flourishing playground for the future of electronic music.

Robert M is here to stay and make sure, everybody will pay attention to this new promising scene.
