The Dataless Recordings record label was created by Mark Doggett in the later part of 2003. Now, at this point you may well be asking yourself, "Um, Mark Doggett, now, where have I heard that name before?" Well, if you think the name sounds familiar but can't quite place it we'll let you into our little secret! You will almost certainly have heard of him under his Dj or producer guise because it is also the name of one of the most successful harder dance music artists in recent years! Yes, Mark Doggett is also the real name of none other than the legendary K90, responsible for a string of high octane dance floor killers including Breathe, Deliverance, Bomb Jack and the unforgettable Red Snapper to name but a few! So, what convinced one of today's most well established artists to take the bold step and move into record label ownership, management and A&R? "I'd wanted to create and run my own label for quite sometime before I actually took the plunge and using the experience I'd gained working with my previous label Recover Records owned by Steven Lo Presti and uber producer Pablo Gargano I just felt that the timing was right to give it a go!" Mark continues "It can be quite a juggling act running the label at times, what with all the touring I do, and in all honesty it sometimes feels like a huge weight around my neck! But, when you see the finished release, complete with artwork and on the shelves or on iTunes it fills me with a huge sense of pride and achievement!" Dataless has certainly proved to be a challenge for Mark but it is one he has grabbed with both hands with six single and two album releases already to the label's credit! The label is showing no sign of slowing down anytime soon either, in fact, it's entering brand new phase with some exciting developments happening at Dataless HQ! Mark takes up the story. "In the very beginning Dataless Recordings was set up as a vehicle solely for K90 releases, but now we're expanding. There are just so many talented up and coming producers out there that deserve to have a platform on which to show off what they can do, we intend to be that platform" He continues "Here at Dataless we want to try and nurture, help develop the producers of the future in a similar way that I myself was helped as a young producer at Recover. I was told where I was going wrong, and told how to put it right and it helped the development of my production skills no end!" So there you have it, the story so far.
